Senior Java Developer

Java, ReactJS, Spring Boot, Amazon Web Services, Hibernate, REST

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our team, working on the development and support of web applications with a focus on frontend. In this role, you will be responsible for building dynamic web pages using servlets, JavaScript, and advanced Ajax techniques. You will work closely with the team to design, develop, and maintain various pricing systems, driving innovation and adapting best practices.

Responsibilities
  • Build dynamic web pages using servlets, JavaScript, and advanced Ajax techniques
  • Support the Production, Simulation, QA, and Development environments
  • Design, develop, and maintain various pricing systems, driving innovation and adapting best practices
  • Maintain and support all areas of the application
  • Work with Business Analysts to develop product specifications
  • Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
  • Ensure defects and incidents are dealt with, and that any new versions of software are released in a controlled and timely manner
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • 3+ years of technical experience in Java and SQL
  • Strong proficiency in ReactJS, Spring Boot, Amazon Web Services, Hibernate, and REST
  • Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git / Mercurial / SVN
  • Thorough understanding of agile software development methodology (Scrum) and industry best practices
  • Fluent English language skills with an upper-intermediate level or higher
Nice to have
  • Knowledge of Provisioning tools like Chef, Puppet, Salt or AnsibleOpenshift
  • Knowledge of NoSQL systems
