Senior Java Developer

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Engineering, QA, and Product stakeholders to build scalable REST APIs for a Docker/Kubernetes based platform
- Lead the development and testing of system components/services, code and design reviews
- Participate in shaping the technical architecture of the product
- Mentor other engineers and support the technical culture to help grow the team
- Generate ideas for new initiatives and technologies to improve our software solutions
- Promote best practices and techniques to make our development process faster and less risky through reusable components and automated algorithms
- Participate in code reviews and ensure high-quality code is delivered
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for the software solutions
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Java development, demonstrating your proficiency in Java 8 and Kotlin
- Expertise in Amazon Web Services, Apache Kafka, SQL, Spring, Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux
- Experience in Gradle build automation and continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development, with experience in developing scalable APIs
- Experience in leading the development and testing of system components/services, code and design reviews
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions
- Fluent spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
Nice to have
- Experience in Kotlin development, showcasing your ability to learn and work with new technologies
- Familiarity with other cloud platforms, such as Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure
- Experience in working with NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB or Cassandra
- Experience with full-stack
