Senior Java Developer

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our remote team. As our Java Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems, delivering high-availability and performance. You will work closely with the team to develop and implement software solutions that meet customer requirements.

We expect you to have a strong programming background with experience in Java and front-end technologies, preferably React. You should have at least 3 years of work experience in developing and designing software solutions, and the ability to see patterns in work and come up with engineering solutions to automate repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems, delivering high-availability and performance
Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and deployment
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
Write well-designed, efficient, and testable code
Ensure designs comply with specifications and meet high-quality standards
Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and maintainability
Troubleshoot and debug issues in a timely manner
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software development

Requirements

3+ experience in Java development, including object-oriented design, coding, and testing patterns
Experience with Spring Boot and RESTful web service development
Proficiency in front-end technologies, including ReactJS and responsive web design concepts
Expertise in reactive programming, asynchronous programming, and multi-threading
Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) ecosystem, including serverless computing and cloud infrastructure management
Strong knowledge of web-based applications and architecture, including web servers, load balancing, and caching technologies
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English at an Upper-Intermediate level

Nice to have

Experience in operations and incident management
Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with other programming languages such as Python or Go
Understanding of database technologies such as SQL and NoSQL databases
