Responsibilities
- Contribute code and serve as code owner for multiple backend services and repositories
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define backend solutions
- Implement best practices for API design and backend architecture
- Identify opportunities to improve products and services through proactive development
- Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance technical stack and processes
- Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality and foster continuous improvement
- Promote a culture of technical excellence and innovation within the engineering team
- Coordinate with cloud service teams to integrate AWS technologies into backend systems
- Support scalability and performance optimization of backend services
- Participate in the planning and execution of platform security features
Requirements
- 3+ years of backend development experience focused on scalable, high-performance systems
- Strong proficiency in Go programming language and related ecosystem
- Experience collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of AWS cloud services and infrastructure
- Ability to work independently and navigate ambiguous situations
- Passion for user-focused and innovative solution development
- Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
- Familiarity with distributed databases like MongoDB Atlas
- Understanding of search technologies including Elasticsearch
- Experience with caching solutions such as Redis
- Strong communication skills in English, upper-intermediate (B2) or higher
Nice to have
- Experience with monitoring tools and Grafana for system observability
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL database management
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code using Terraform
