Senior Game Tester

We are thrilled to invite an experienced and talented Senior Game Tester to join our playtesting team.

In this position, you will manage key testing workflows, ensure a premium gaming experience, and play a vital role in fostering a fair and competitive gaming environment across multiple platforms. Additionally, you will support the growth of junior and mid-level testers while championing advancements in testing practices and methodologies.

Responsibilities
  • Lead playtesting initiatives for various game titles, including both exploratory and test-case-based approaches
  • Oversee the configuration and setup of consoles and mobile devices for heightened efficiency during playtesting
  • Optimize and utilize advanced tools and systems to enhance daily productivity
  • Identify, document, and spearhead resolutions for complex defects and issues across gaming subsystems
  • Create and manage thorough playtesting documentation and detailed questionnaires
  • Mentor junior and mid-level testers by offering troubleshooting guidance and support to ensure task completion
  • Take responsibility for testing outcomes and deliverables within subsystems or key game features
  • Escalate critical issues, such as test blockers, to management or the designated lead
  • Collaborate directly with developers, designers, and stakeholders to refine quality assurance methods
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience in software testing
  • 2+ years of experience in game testing
  • Extensive experience as an active gamer across genres, platforms, and competitive formats
  • Capacity to work onsite during scheduled hours beginning at 9-9:30 AM (UTC-04)
  • Availability for planned quarterly weekend overtime shifts
  • Proficiency in creating detailed test reports, plans, bugs, and results for intricate systems
  • Expertise in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of builds on both mobile devices and consoles
  • Competency in diagnosing and solving hardware and software configuration challenges
  • Background in training and mentoring team members
  • Advanced knowledge of PC, Windows systems, and console architectures
  • Capability to work independently while offering leadership within testing scenarios
  • Accountability for both deliverables and overall results
  • Professionalism and discretion when managing confidential or sensitive information
  • English proficiency at a B2 level or higher
Nice to have
  • Showcase of prior experience managing and coordinating a testing team of 5-10 individuals for large-scale projects
  • Background in assuming full testing responsibility for systems or subsystems in significant projects
  • Qualifications in Quality Assurance and Testing, such as advanced ISTQB certifications
  • Deep understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and quality control best practices
  • Familiarity with improving and refining established software quality processes through innovative contributions
