We are thrilled to invite an experienced and highly skilled Senior Game Tester to join our playtesting team.
In this role, you will take ownership of critical testing processes, ensure a high-quality gaming experience, and contribute significantly to a fair and competitive player environment across diverse platforms. You will also mentor junior and middle-level testers while driving improvements in testing methodologies and processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead playtesting activities for multiple game titles, including both test-case based and exploratory testing
- Oversee setup and configuration of consoles and mobile devices for playtesting sessions
- Use and optimize advanced tools and systems to accomplish daily tasks efficiently
- Identify, report, and drive resolution for defects and issues across complex subsystems
- Create and maintain comprehensive playtesting questionnaires and documentation
- Mentor and guide junior and middle game testers in the completion and troubleshooting of assigned tasks
- Take ownership of testing deliverables and outcomes for multiple subsystems or game features
- Escalate and prioritize critical issues, including test blockers, to the test lead or management
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and other stakeholders to enhance quality assurance workflows
Requirements
- 3+ years of software testing experience
- 2+ years of experience in game testing
- Deep gaming experience as an active player across various genres, platforms, and competitive environments
- Willingness to work from the office during scheduled hours, starting at 9-9:30 AM (UTC-04)
- Availability to participate in planned weekend overtime shifts once per quarter
- Proven ability to design detailed test cases, plans, bugs, and test results reports for complex systems
- Expert-level experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting builds on consoles and mobile devices
- Intermediate to advanced skills in debugging and solving configuration issues for hardware and software
- Experience in training and supervising others
- Advanced knowledge of PC, Windows systems, and console architecture
- Ability to work independently and provide leadership within the testing environment
- Strong ownership and accountability for outcomes and deliverables
- Discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive and confidential client information
- B1+ level of English proficiency
Nice to have
- Proven experience coordinating and managing a testing workstream of 5-10 testers in large-scale projects
- Demonstrated ability to take full testing responsibility for a system or subsystem in a high-profile project
- ISTQB advanced certifications or equivalent in Quality Assurance and Testing
- Expert-level understanding of software quality control processes and the software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Experience in contributing to or enhancing defined software quality control processes with innovative solutions
