Senior Functional Testing Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Senior Functional Testing Engineer to join our remote team. As a Functional Testing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of newly implemented product backlog items through functional testing, regression testing, and smoke testing. Your responsibilities will include writing test cases based on business requirements, testing REST APIs, and web applications, and utilizing your relevant business knowledge to support testing in the property, insurance, rentals, and mortgages domains.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct functional testing of newly implemented product backlog items to ensure high quality and reliability
  • Perform regression testing and smoke testing to validate system performance and stability
  • Write test cases based on business requirements, ensuring comprehensive test coverage
  • Utilize relevant business knowledge to support testing in the property, insurance, rentals, and mortgages domains
  • Test REST APIs and web applications, ensuring their functionality and reliability
  • Mentor and support junior team members
Requirements
  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Experience in developing and executing test cases based on business requirements
  • Good understanding and experience in testing REST API
  • Experience with Regression testing and Smoke testing
  • Understanding and experience in testing Web apps (Javascript)
  • Relevant experience in functional testing within the property, insurance, rentals, and mortgages domains
  • Ability to conduct data collection, preparation, reporting, and relevant business knowledge
  • Fluency in written and spoken English at a B2 level or higher
Nice to have
  • Good understanding of Web UI Test Automation Tools in Java
  • Knowledge of Jenkins, SoapUI (Open Source)
