Senior ETL Informatica Engineer

We are looking for a seasoned Senior ETL Informatica Engineer to join our agile team.
The ideal candidate will assist in enhancing both existing and new database applications, ensuring optimal performance, and maintaining high data quality. As a leader, the Senior ETL Informatica Engineer will drive technical solutions and mentor junior team members in achieving exceptional standards of workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Leverage open source frameworks, third-party libraries, and commercial software to manage database schema changes across environments
- Design efficient data models and create reports using BI tools
- Implement automated, repeatable processes for managing database changes
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance
- Coordinate with support teams to identify data discrepancies and execute data corrections
- Enhance existing health insurance applications serving both consumers and operational staff
- Review query plans and optimize query performance
- Manage change through automation and improve existing processes
- Set clear performance targets and maintain performance metrics records
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 3+ years of experience with ETL tools, preferably Informatica, Kafka, and AWS Glue
- Solid background in database design and analysis including relational and NoSQL databases like Oracle, DynamoDB
- Understanding of data warehouse and data modeling techniques including Star and Dimensional Modeling
- Familiarity with BI and reporting tools such as Tableau
- Skills in PL/SQL and Oracle XML development
- Advanced knowledge of Oracle Database and database tuning
- Experience with Cloud and Big Data technologies
- Competency in managing data consistency and concurrency principles
Nice to have
- Experience with Liquibase for database schema change management
- Creativity in solving complex technical issues
- Strong customer-service mindset when dealing with user-related issues
