We are currently looking for a remote Senior DynamoDB Developer to join the global team.
The customer provides Direct-to-Consumer services encompassing global entertainment and news TV properties, TV stations group, and radio businesses.
Responsibilities
- Read (including query and scan operations) and write paths for DynamoDB
- Actively communicate directly with developers, product managers and everybody who relies on our DynamoDB instances
- Be open to communication and be ready for rapid changes
- Analyze and evaluate when to use scans and indexes
Requirements
- 3+ years hands-on DynamoDB experience (on top of AWS cloud)
- Experience with DynamoDB indexes including Partition, Sort and Global secondary indexes (how to plan, tune, create, limitations, edge cases)
- Familiarity with data modelling for DynamoDB and supported data structures
- Familiarity with Managing Capacity, Consistency, and Performance in DynamoDB
- Experience with Replication options (multiAZ, cross-region) and streams for DynamoDB
- Understanding of capacity units and charging
- Understanding of relational and non-relational database concepts
- Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting
