We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with expertise in Amazon Web Services to join our team remotely As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will work closely with our team of developers and architects to design, build, and maintain our cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for optimizing our CI/CD pipeline and ensuring that our systems are secure and scalable. You will also provide technical leadership to the team and help mentor junior engineers.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot ETL jobs by monitoring logs and metrics
- Troubleshoot user technical issues and bad user experience, such as login troubles and slow queries
- React to alerts from our monitoring system
- Troubleshoot malfunctions in AWS services
- Provide resolutions for escalated service tickets
- Escalate issues to the DevOps team for further troubleshooting and resolution
- Optimize our CI/CD pipeline to ensure fast and reliable deployments
- Ensure our systems are secure and scalable by implementing best practices and monitoring for vulnerabilities
- Provide technical leadership to the team and mentor junior engineers
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer with a focus on AWS
- Experience with AWS Glue, S3, SQS, SNS, API Gateways, DynamoDB, RDS, EKS, and EMR
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Python, Ruby, Perl, or Bash
- Expertise in monitoring and logging with CloudWatch and CloudTrail, with experience in ELK being a plus
- Understanding of CI/CD principles
- Knowledge of security principles for securing cross-service communication with AAA, TLS, and SSO, with AWS IAM being a must
- Ability to troubleshoot technical problems efficiently and effectively
- Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English (B2+ level)
