Senior Developer - SAP ABAP in S/4HANA

We are seeking an experienced Senior Developer specializing in SAP ABAP in S/4HANA to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of ABAP development within the SAP S/4HANA environment and a strong background in system integrations and interface development. This role requires a dedicated professional capable of designing and implementing complex solutions in dynamic business scenarios.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of ABAP programs in SAP S/4HANA environments
Collaborate with functional teams to analyze requirements and transform them into feasible technical solutions
Develop and maintain interfaces using IDOCs, Webservices, and other integration technologies
Design and implement ABAP Restful programming (RAP) for optimal application performance
Utilize new SAP S/4HANA development techniques including CDS, BOPF, AMDPs, and Fiori elements/Smart Templates
Ensure code quality and consistency through adherence to development best practices and guidelines
Perform code reviews, runtime analysis, and ABAP performance tuning to optimize application responsiveness
Guide and mentor junior developers in the project team
Engage with stakeholders to refine user requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs
Keep up-to-date with the latest SAP technologies and development practices to continuously improve development standards

Requirements

3+ years of experience in ABAP programming, including ABAP OO and Design Patterns
Expertise in SAP NetWeaver Gateway, and OData services (V2 & V4)
Skills in ABAP for SAP S/4HANA development (CDS, BOPF, AMDPs)
Familiarity with SAP Fiori elements/Smart Templates, and SAPUI5
Qualifications in SAP Business Technology Platform, and SAP CAP CDS
Background in handling various IDEs including ABAP Workbench, ABAP ADT (Eclipse), and Business Application Studio
Understanding of ABAP Test Cockpit and performance tuning techniques
Experience in leading projects and making architectural decisions
Capability to work both independently and as part of a multi-national team
Fluent English communication skills at a B2+ level

Nice to have

Additional language capabilities, particularly Portuguese
Prior experience with Agile project methodologies
Certification in SAP ABAP for SAP S/4HANA
