We are seeking a Senior DBA & Cloud Migration Specialist to join our team.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing our database environments and ensuring their optimal performance. You will be responsible for a variety of database-related services, including on-call support and disaster recovery planning. Responsibilities
- Provide 24 x 7 rotational on-call support for production databases
- Plan and consult on database technology and projects
- Design and maintain Oracle Database Platform, Microsoft SQL Server, and MySQL environments
- Develop and test database disaster recovery plans
- Administer database security across various platforms
- Support all database management systems on Z/OS, Windows, Linux, AIX, and ESX
- Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance database performance
Requirements
- Experience in Oracle Database Platform with 3+ years of experience
- Background in Microsoft SQL Server
- Knowledge of MySQL database management
- Familiarity with Azure and MongoDB
- Proficiency in English for effective communication
- Capable of managing projects in a changing environment
- Experience working with diverse stakeholder groups
Nice to have
- Certification in Oracle Database Administration
- Familiarity with cloud migration strategies
- Understanding of database security best practices
- Knowledge of performance tuning for database systems
- Experience with database automation tools
