We are seeking a skilled remote Senior Data Software Engineer to join our team and play a vital role in supporting part of the infrastructure built on technologies such as Hadoop stack and Hive-like databases, Spark/Databricks/Azure/Scala, and Python. In this role, you will be responsible for building and enhancing Support service for client big data. If you are passionate about data software engineering and have experience in application support of large enterprise ecosystems, we invite you to be part of our team.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and enhance the data infrastructure
- Design and develop solutions for client big data Support service
- Analyze and resolve complex issues in large enterprise ecosystems
- Develop and maintain efficient and scalable software code
- Continuously improve software engineering practices and processes
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Data Software Engineer
- Expertise in Microsoft Azure and Azure Databricks
- Strong programming skills in Scala core and Scala
- Thorough understanding of data software engineering principles and practices
- Experience in working with Hadoop stack and Hive-like databases
- Proficient in Python programming
- Fluent English language skills with an Upper-Intermediate level
Nice to have
- Experience in working with other big data technologies like Kafka, Cassandra, and NoSQL
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of machine learning principles and practices
