EPAM is looking for a talented Senior Data Scientist to join our team in Zürich, Switzerland.
In this role, you will collaborate with a leading banking client to design, develop and deploy AI solutions powered by Microsoft Azure. You will play a key role in building robust data pipelines, developing machine learning models and ensuring seamless integration of AI-driven insights into business processes.
We offer a hybrid work model with a mix of remote and on-site work in Zürich.

- Design and implement scalable data pipelines for preprocessing, wrangling and ensuring data quality and accessibility
- Develop and deploy machine learning models using Azure Machine Learning Studio, Databricks and other Azure AI services
- Utilize big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop and Azure Synapse Analytics to process large datasets efficiently
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into business workflows
- Ensure adherence to cloud security best practices while working with Azure infrastructure and storage solutions
- Visualize data insights using tools like Microsoft Power BI and present findings to stakeholders effectively
- Monitor and optimize machine learning models to ensure high performance and reliability
- Strong expertise with Apache Spark and Databricks for big data processing and analysis
- Proficiency in Azure Machine Learning and Azure Synapse Analytics for AI solution development
- Advanced programming skills in Python and SQL for data engineering and model development
- Familiarity with Apache Hadoop and Azure Blob Storage for handling large-scale data storage and processing
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines and project management
- Understanding of Azure Security best practices for cloud-based solutions
- Experience with MLflow for managing machine learning lifecycle
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI for data visualization and reporting
- Fluency in English is required, German is a plus
