Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define business requirements and identify technical solutions
- Build scalable data pipelines and ETL processes for effective dataset management
- Improve database performance and uphold data integrity for analytics purposes
- Create and implement data models aligned with business needs and reporting goals
- Interpret complex datasets to derive insights and identify patterns
- Integrate data sources, ensuring smooth interaction across systems and platforms
- Utilize modern coding languages to develop secure and durable applications
- Document technical workflows, processes, and system architecture comprehensively
- Support Agile methods to enhance development, testing, and deployment cycles
- Lead technical discussions to promote best practices and innovative approaches
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering or related disciplines
- Proficiency in Python or TypeScript and flexibility with current coding methodologies
- Understanding of SQL and relational databases, along with competency in database design
- Skills in data analytics and visualization to inform decision-making efforts
- Familiarity with frameworks like Palantir Foundry, Scrum, and Agile workflows
- Background in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Gradle for creating data-driven applications
- Knowledge of financial industry or insurance domain as an added advantage
Nice to have
- Background in Palantir Foundry and Microsoft Power BI
- Expertise in leveraging PySpark for large-scale data operations
- Proficiency in Machine Learning or Generative AI solutions
