We are in search of an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and supportable creation of the back-end for our BI solutions. Your expertise will drive the seamless integration of data sources into front-end visualizations, ensuring the satisfaction of our business users.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate front-end mock-ups and available data sources, proposing optimal strategies for pre-processing and storing data to seamlessly integrate with visualizations
- Collaborate closely with front-end developers to strategize data transformation execution (back-end vs. front-end) and develop solutions accordingly
- Design and develop ETL pipelines and data structures that facilitate efficient data flow to support the visualizations with maximum efficiency
- Champion the implementation of industry best-practices in database design, boosting system performance and minimizing downtime
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps Engineer role, demonstrating a solid track record of successful projects
- Proficiency in Amazon S3, Amazon HDFS, and Amazon EMR, showcasing a deep understanding of cloud-based infrastructure
- Strong data modeling skills to create efficient and scalable data structures
- Solid business acumen, enabling effective translation of business requirements into technical solutions
- Proven ability to work autonomously and drive projects independently
- B2+ level of English proficiency, ensuring effective communication within the team
Nice to have
- Experience with SPARK and Scala, enhancing your capabilities in data processing and manipulation.
- Familiarity with Amazon Aurora and PostgreSQL, expanding your database expertise beyond the core requirements.
