We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Data Analyst to join our remote team, working on an exciting project that involves analyzing and modeling complex data flows. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will partner with application and business subject matter experts to document current state data flows, create data maps, and document both business and technical metadata. You will also organize and conduct source-to-target mapping reviews with stakeholders and development teams, and translate business needs into logical and physical data models to support appropriate and consistent usage within the DnA Data Hub.
Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements and information flow to identify data mapping requirements
- Partner with application and business subject matter experts to document current state data flows
- Create data maps and document both business and technical metadata to ensure data accuracy and consistency
- Organize and conduct source-to-target mapping reviews with stakeholders and development teams to ensure data flow alignment
- Translate business needs into logical and physical data models to support appropriate and consistent usage within the DnA Data Hub
- Adhere to data architecture principles and standards to ensure data consistency and accuracy
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and accuracy
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in BI Analysis, demonstrating your proficiency in data analysis and requirements analysis
- Expertise in SQL and Excel, enabling you to perform complex data analysis and modeling tasks
- Proficiency in data profiling or modeling tools, such as ERwin, Toad Data Modeler, or IBM InfoSphere Data Architect
- Experience with visual diagramming tools, such as Lucidchart or Visio, for creating data maps and documenting metadata
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, allowing you to understand complex data flows and identify potential issues
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling you to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Experience in adhering to data architecture principles and standards, ensuring data consistency and accuracy
- Fluent spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
Nice to have
- Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI, for creating interactive dashboards and reports
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and methodologies
- Experience with ETL tools, such as Informatica or Talend
- Experience with big data technologies, such as Hadoop or Spark
