Senior Cloud Engineer (with AWS)

We are in search of a Senior Cloud Engineer with a specialization in AWS to enhance our distributed team. This role demands a proactive individual who is adept at navigating the complexities of cloud infrastructure and is committed to implementing high-performance solutions. As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the development and optimization of our cloud services, ensuring they are both efficient and scalable. Your technical acumen and innovative approach will be vital as you lead projects that support our strategic objectives and push the boundaries of cloud technology.

Responsibilities
  • Design and manage AWS cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance
  • Implement and maintain containerization solutions using AWS container services
  • Script automation processes to streamline cloud operations
  • Deploy and manage Helm charts for package management across environments
  • Utilize Kubernetes for orchestration and management of containerized applications
  • Configure Docker environments to support application deployment
  • Use Terraform to automate and manage infrastructure as code
  • Ensure system security and compliance with industry standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud solutions effectively
  • Lead cloud strategy initiatives and mentor junior engineers
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as an AWS Cloud Engineer
  • Proficient in managing AWS container services to optimize application deployment and scaling
  • Strong scripting skills in Ruby, Python, or Bash to automate tasks and enhance functionality
  • Experienced in deploying and managing Helm for application configuration
  • In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes for effective container orchestration
  • Skilled in setting up and managing Docker environments
  • Proficient with Terraform for infrastructure automation and management
  • Excellent communication skills in English, capable of engaging effectively in a professional setting
Nice to have
  • Experience with advanced cloud networking architectures
  • Knowledge of cloud security practices and compliance standards
  • Familiarity with additional cloud service platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud
