We are hiring a Senior Cloud Engineer skilled in Google Cloud Platform to lead cloud infrastructure improvements. Responsibilities
- Architect and deploy effective cloud and hybrid environment solutions
- Develop and maintain governance policies to ensure operational compliance
- Implement GitOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices for cloud resource management
- Administer cloud services including VPC, IAM, GKE, KMS, VM, and DNS
- Conduct cloud cost analysis and apply FinOps techniques for expense reduction
- Manage migration from virtual machines to container-based systems
- Create and update documentation for process clarity and team knowledge
- Advise team members on technology updates and foster an environment of learning
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience in cloud engineering or related fields
- Expert knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes, including GKE operations
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code platforms like Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager
- Proficiency in managing cloud security tools such as IAM, KMS, and VPC
- Background in cloud cost optimization and FinOps applications
- Skillful in container technology and converting VMs to container workloads
- Solid understanding of DNS setup, load balancing, and networking in cloud contexts
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated documentation capabilities
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with on-premises and hybrid cloud environments
- Understanding of GitOps concepts and their use in CI/CD pipelines
- Proven contributions to cloud optimization or strategy development
- Experience handling DNS across multiple cloud providers
