We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer proficient in Google Cloud Platform to join our innovative team. You will lead the design and deployment of cloud architectures, enhance hybrid cloud infrastructure, and focus on scalability, cost-efficiency, and reliability. Join us to contribute your expertise and drive cloud transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud and hybrid environment best practices aligned with organizational goals
- Establish and maintain policies to ensure compliance and streamline cloud operations
- Apply GitOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies to manage cloud infrastructure efficiently
- Deploy and oversee cloud components such as VPC, IAM, GKE, KMS, VM, and DNS
- Execute cost optimization measures and apply FinOps approaches to control cloud spending
- Lead transitions from virtual machines to container-based architectures
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation to support team knowledge and processes
- Mentor team members on evolving technologies and promote collaborative knowledge sharing
Requirements
- Proven experience with cloud engineering for over 3 years
- Advanced skills in Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes, including GKE management
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager
- Expertise in security services such as IAM, KMS, and VPC within cloud environments
- Knowledge of cloud cost optimization and FinOps practices
- Practical skills in containerization and migrating workloads from VMs to containers using Docker
- Solid understanding of DNS, load balancing, and cloud networking concepts
- Strong communication abilities with experience creating clear documentation and facilitating team learning
Nice to have
- Experience working with on-premises and hybrid cloud setups
- Understanding of GitOps practices and CI/CD pipeline integration
- Track record of contributing to cloud strategy or delivering impactful cloud optimizations
- Familiarity with DNS management in multi-cloud environments
