We are hiring a Senior Cloud Engineer specializing in Google Cloud Platform to enhance and manage our cloud and hybrid infrastructures. The role includes leading cloud architecture improvements, ensuring scalability, and optimizing costs using Infrastructure as Code and Kubernetes. Join our team to influence cloud strategy and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Develop and apply best practices for cloud and hybrid environments
- Create and enforce policies to ensure compliance and operational success
- Adopt GitOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) approaches for infrastructure management
- Manage deployment of cloud resources including VPC, IAM, GKE, KMS, VM, and DNS
- Perform cloud cost management and implement FinOps strategies
- Lead the transition of workloads from virtual machines to containers
- Write and update documentation to support team knowledge and processes
- Guide team members on technology updates and promote continuous learning
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant cloud engineering experience
- Expertise in Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes with experience managing GKE
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager
- Experience in cloud security services such as IAM, KMS, and VPC
- Skills in cloud cost optimization and FinOps
- Knowledge of containerization and migrating VMs to containers using Docker
- Strong understanding of DNS, load balancing, and networking in the cloud
- Effective communication skills and ability to document processes clearly
Nice to have
- Familiarity with hybrid and on-premises cloud environments
- Understanding of GitOps practices and CI/CD integration
- Proven achievements in cloud cost or strategy optimization
- Experience with DNS management across multi-cloud platforms
