Senior Cloud Engineer

Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD, Jenkins

We are in search of a Senior Cloud Engineer to become an integral part of our remote team. This position is geared towards professionals adept at engineering and refining cloud-based systems across various platforms. As a key member of our team, you will be instrumental in deploying cutting-edge cloud technologies and ensuring that our cloud architecture is both powerful and scalable.

Responsibilities
  • Administer, oversee, and ensure the security of cloud environments in line with organizational guidelines
  • Build and sustain automated, scalable cloud infrastructure systems
  • Work closely with software development teams to facilitate the deployment and resolution of issues in cloud applications
  • Execute regular system upkeep and manage disaster recovery efforts
  • Enhance overall system functionality using state-of-the-art cloud technology
  • Document operational procedures and cloud architecture configurations
  • Keep abreast of technological advancements in the industry and propose technology solutions that provide competitive advantages
  • Manage cloud resources and configuration to optimize utility and efficiency
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent field
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS and Google Cloud Platform
  • Expertise in using Terraform for infrastructure as code
  • Proficiency in continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices and tools, including Jenkins
  • Familiarity with Git or similar version control systems
  • Comprehensive understanding of security protocols in cloud environments, with practical experience in using Vault
  • Proficient in English, with at least a B2 level of fluency
Nice to have
  • Knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible
  • Experience in managing container orchestration frameworks
  • Understanding of methods for optimizing cloud-related costs and resource usage
