Senior Cloud Engineer (Azure)

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer with specialized expertise in Azure migrations to join our team.

This role will be pivotal in conducting a large-scale migration from an on-premises datacenter to Azure, utilizing the Azure VMware Solution (AVS) and enhancing our infrastructure. The ideal candidate will not only execute the technical aspects of the migration but also ensure connectivity to additional data centers and Azure regions.

Responsibilities
  • Implement and optimize AVS-based workloads, handling migration tasks using Azure Migrate and VMware tools (vMotion) for minimal downtime
  • Configure and troubleshoot network connectivity (ExpressRoute) to both on-premises and secondary cloud regions, ensuring secure and resilient traffic flow
  • Deploy and manage critical infrastructure services, including load balancing with F5, firewall rules, storage provisioning, and SQL database connectivity
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues as they arise, working closely with architects, network engineers, security teams, and other stakeholders
  • Contribute to documentation and best practices, sharing knowledge with team members to improve operational efficiency and project outcomes
  • Continuously refine and enhance the solution design and execution strategy, staying up-to-date with emerging Azure and VMware technologies
Requirements
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • Proven experience with large-scale datacenter-to-cloud migrations, including hands-on work with AVS, VMware, and Azure Migrate
  • Strong technical expertise in network configuration (ExpressRoute), virtualization (vMotion), load balancing (F5), firewalls, storage, and SQL database integration
  • Track record of efficiently troubleshooting complex infrastructure challenges in high-pressure project environments
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams
  • Advanced proficiency in English (verbal and written, B2+ level)
