We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer (AWS) to join our remote team. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who is deeply knowledgeable about AWS and eager to design and implement innovative cloud solutions. As a key member of our engineering team, you will lead the development and optimization of our cloud infrastructure, ensuring it supports our business goals effectively. Your expertise will help us maintain a scalable, secure, and efficient cloud environment that meets the evolving needs of our organization.

Responsibilities
  • Architect and manage robust AWS cloud environments
  • Optimize cloud resource utilization and cost efficiency
  • Implement and maintain containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes
  • Automate cloud operations and infrastructure using Terraform
  • Develop scripts in Ruby, Python, or Bash to automate tasks and enhance functionality
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices in cloud deployments
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate cloud solutions seamlessly
  • Monitor and analyze system performance, proposing necessary enhancements
  • Lead cloud disaster recovery planning and implementation
  • Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior cloud engineers
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an AWS Cloud Engineer
  • Proficient in managing container services using AWS ECS and EKS
  • Strong scripting skills in Ruby, Python, or Bash to automate cloud and operational tasks
  • Experienced in using Helm for package management in Kubernetes environments
  • In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes for orchestrating and managing containerized applications
  • Skilled in using Docker for creating, deploying, and running applications
  • Proficient in using Terraform for automating infrastructure provisioning
  • Excellent proficiency in English, with strong communication skills for effective collaboration
Nice to have
  • Knowledge of cloud security frameworks and certifications
  • Familiarity with additional cloud service providers like Azure or Google Cloud
