Senior C++ Developer

C++, Cloud, CMake, Google Test, Linux, Qt, Yocto Project

We are seeking a Senior C++ Developer to join our Agile development team and work on cutting-edge electronic devices.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing new functionalities, refactoring the codebase, and collaborating with team members to enhance our product and processes.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and test new functionalities for electronic devices
  • Propose and carry out refactoring to improve design and quality
  • Debug and fix defects reported by QA and customers
  • Review team members' code and provide insightful feedback
  • Estimate efforts for future projects to assist in planning
  • Collaborate with the eReader team on process and codebase improvements
  • Share knowledge with team members and learn from them to foster mutual growth
Requirements
  • Proficiency in object-oriented design, incorporating design principles and patterns
  • Expertise in C++11 or newer
  • Capability to develop graphical user interfaces using Qt or similar libraries
  • Background in embedded development on Linux platforms
  • 3+ years of experience in an Agile development environment
  • Competency in multi-threaded applications development and web technologies including JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and HTTP
  • Knowledge of Data structures, algorithms, Big O notation, SOLID principles, and Linux (Kernel awareness)
  • Skills in identifying trade-offs and justifying decisions
  • Experience following modern development best practices
  • Background in Automation, Controls, and IoT
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Nice to have
  • Familiarity with Yocto, CMake, and Qt
  • Proficiency in GCC, ARM toolchains, and shell scripting
  • Experience writing and maintaining automated tests in C++
  • Familiarity with the EPUB format/standard
  • Competency with SQLite databases
