We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst with a background in Financial Services to support data science and analytics initiatives.
This role involves collaborating with business stakeholders, data scientists, and technical teams to gather and translate business requirements into actionable deliverables. The ideal candidate will have experience working with data science teams, familiarity with cloud platforms, and a solid understanding of Agile methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data scientists, and technical teams to collect and document detailed business requirements
- Break down complex business needs into clear user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria using Jira
- Partner with Technical System Analysts to ensure precise translation of business requirements into technical solutions
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, contributing to backlog refinement, sprint planning, and reviews
- Analyze data and processes to support the development and implementation of data science models and solutions
- Assist with incident resolution and troubleshooting when necessary
- Ensure deliverables align with business objectives and contribute to continuous value delivery
Requirements
- Qualifications in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- Over 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally in Financial Services or Wealth Management, with a proven ability to deliver data-driven solutions
- Strong understanding of business analysis techniques, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and creating comprehensive documentation
- Experience working with data science teams and a solid understanding of Machine Learning concepts to facilitate collaboration and solution development
- Proficiency in Jira, including crafting user stories, managing backlogs, and applying Agile principles to project workflows
- Skills in SQL for performing advanced data analysis and supporting data-driven decision-making
- Excellent communication skills, with the capability to manage stakeholders effectively and solve complex problems in dynamic environments
- Fluent English skills (written and spoken) at a B2 level or higher to ensure clear communication across global teams
Nice to have
- Proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, or similar BI tools to support data visualization and reporting
- Familiarity with Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP for working with modern data architectures
