Senior Business Analyst

Remote in Mexico

We are searching for a Senior Business Analyst with expertise in Financial Services to contribute to data science and analytics projects.

This position requires working closely with business stakeholders, data scientists, and technical teams to define and translate business needs into actionable outputs. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience collaborating with data science teams, a strong understanding of cloud platforms, and in-depth knowledge of Agile practices.

Responsibilities
  • Work with business stakeholders, data scientists, and technical teams to identify and document business requirements
  • Convert complex business demands into user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria using Jira
  • Collaborate with Technical System Analysts to ensure business needs are clearly reflected in technical solutions
  • Take part in Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and reviews
  • Examine data and processes to support the design and deployment of data science models and solutions
  • Provide assistance with incident management and troubleshooting as required
  • Align deliverables with business goals to ensure continuous value delivery
Requirements
  • Background in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within Financial Services or Wealth Management, with demonstrated success in delivering data-centric solutions
  • Comprehensive understanding of business analysis methodologies, including requirements elicitation, process mapping, and detailed documentation
  • Familiarity with data science team workflows and foundational knowledge of Machine Learning concepts to support collaborative efforts
  • Proficiency in Jira for creating user stories, managing backlogs, and adhering to Agile methodologies throughout project cycles
  • Expertise in SQL for conducting complex data analysis and enabling data-informed decision-making
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders and resolve challenges in fast-paced environments
  • Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken) at a B2 level or higher to facilitate seamless global collaboration
Nice to have
  • Skills in Tableau, Power BI, or similar business intelligence tools for creating data visualizations and reports
  • Knowledge of Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP to support work within modern data ecosystems
