We are hiring a Senior Business Analyst with a strong background in Financial Services to support initiatives in data science and analytics. This role involves working alongside business stakeholders, data scientists, and technical teams to capture and transform business needs into actionable outcomes. The ideal candidate will bring experience collaborating with data science teams, a solid grasp of cloud technologies, and expertise in Agile methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders, data scientists, and technical teams to gather and define business requirements
- Break down complex business needs into user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria within Jira
- Work closely with Technical System Analysts to ensure accurate translation of business needs into technical solutions
- Participate in Agile events such as backlog refinement, sprint planning, and review sessions
- Analyze data and workflows to support the creation and implementation of data science models and solutions
- Assist in resolving incidents and troubleshooting issues when needed
- Ensure project outputs align with business objectives and deliver ongoing value
Requirements
- Qualifications in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- More than 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally in Financial Services or Wealth Management, with a demonstrated ability to deliver data-driven solutions
- Strong knowledge of business analysis techniques, including requirements gathering, process documentation, and workflow mapping
- Familiarity with data science team operations and understanding of Machine Learning concepts to support collaborative projects
- Proficiency in Jira for writing user stories, managing backlogs, and adhering to Agile workflows
- Skills in SQL to perform advanced data analysis and support data-driven insights
- Excellent stakeholder management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in dynamic environments
- English language fluency (written and spoken) at a B2 level or higher to ensure effective collaboration with global teams
Nice to have
- Proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent business intelligence tools for data visualization and reporting
- Familiarity with Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP to work with modern data architectures
