We are looking for a Senior BI Analyst to join our remote team, working with a multinational insurance company co-headquartered in Brussels. This opportunity is with the Philippines team EastWestAgeas (Troo.Life) Insurance. As a Senior BI Analyst, you will be responsible for validating and managing the requirements for the reporting project, collaborating with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors to deliver high-quality solutions. You will work on data visualization for regulatory reporting requirements for the Client, based on pipelines in Azure cloud platform and Azure Synapse Data Analytics service, in collaboration with the customer's and third-party teams.
Responsibilities
- Understand front-end requirements and translate them to data requirements
- Conduct data discovery to identify required data transformation steps
- Trace back data requirements to database and source data
- Assist and validate in data model design
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors to deliver high-quality solutions
- Work on data visualization for regulatory reporting requirements for the Client
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
- Provide recommendations for improving data quality and accuracy
Requirements
- At least 3+ years of relevant experience in BI Analysis, demonstrating your expertise in data analysis, modeling, and visualization
- Proven experience in ETL/ELT solutions and Microsoft Power BI, highlighting your proficiency in developing Power BI reports
- Strong analytical skills, showcasing your ability to interpret and report results of analyses, working with very large data sets, and using data exploration and analysis techniques
- Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics and Data Lake, enabling you to work with pipelines in Azure cloud platform
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, allowing you to work effectively with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors
- Experience in Life Insurance domain, demonstrating your understanding of the industry and related regulations
- Fluent spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
Nice to have
- Experience with other BI tools or technologies beyond Microsoft Power BI
- Knowledge of data governance and data management best practices
- Experience with data warehousing and big data technologies
