We are seeking a Senior BI Analyst with extensive experience in Microsoft BI stack to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and migrating Microsoft SSRS content and PowerBI to a new architecture running in Azure. You will also be responsible for designing and developing data models, reports, and dashboards, as well as providing insights and recommendations to stakeholders. Responsibilities
- Review and migrate Microsoft SSRS content and PowerBI to a new architecture running in Azure
- Design and develop data models, reports, and dashboards to provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure data quality and integrity
- Optimize and fine-tune SQL queries and data models for performance and scalability
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in BI analysis and data modeling
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in BI analysis, data modeling, and report development
- Expertise in Microsoft BI stack including Microsoft SQL Server, MS SQL Reporting Services, T-SQL, Microsoft Power BI, and Microsoft SSRS
- Proficiency in working with Azure Data Lake Analytics and Azure Synapse Analytics
- Thorough understanding of data modeling concepts and hands-on experience in developing complex data models
- Experience in optimizing and tuning SQL queries for performance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work in cross-functional teams
- Fluent English language skills with an upper-intermediate level
Nice to have
- Experience in working with Azure Data Factory
- Familiarity with cloud-based data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake and Redshift
- Experience in working with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Cassandra
- Experience in developing custom visualizations using D3.js or other similar libraries
- Experience in Python programming
