Senior Azure Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Azure Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving the development and optimization of our Azure-based infrastructure. Your expertise will help shape the future of our cloud services, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.

Responsibilities

Design and implement Azure cloud solutions to meet business requirements
Lead the deployment and scaling of Azure applications ensuring high availability and fault tolerance
Optimize cloud resource utilization for cost efficiency and performance enhancement
Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate Azure services seamlessly
Monitor and maintain Azure environments to preemptively address service disruptions
Develop and oversee disaster recovery and data continuity plans
Spearhead initiatives aimed at improving system security and compliance standards
Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and growth
Keep abreast of new Azure features and technologies to enhance service offerings
Conduct thorough evaluations of system performance and implement necessary adjustments

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience
Over 3 years of hands-on experience as an Azure Engineer or in similar roles
Proficient in using infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation for Azure environments
Experienced with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes
Skilled in managing Kubernetes with Helm in an Azure context
Strong expertise in automation and scripting with languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby
Knowledgeable in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) for deploying and managing containerized applications
Proficient in Linux administration including system troubleshooting and maintenance
Fluent in English with communication skills at a B2 level or higher

Nice to have

Experience in Windows administration, particularly in managing and configuring Windows server environments
Proficiency in managing Oracle databases, with a focus on performance tuning and scalability optimization
