Senior Azure DevOps Engineer

We are on the hunt for a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to be a part of our remote team. The selected individual will play a key role in fortifying the security of our Azure cloud environments.

In this role, you are expected to work closely with our development and infrastructure teams, ensuring the integration of cloud security best practices across our Azure infrastructure. This exciting role offers the chance to work with cutting-edge technologies while bolstering the security of our cloud environments.

Responsibilities
  • Designing and implementing Azure cloud security solutions using an infrastructure-as-code methodology
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams like development and infrastructure to reinforce security best practices across the Azure infrastructure
  • Building and preserving secure, compliant cloud environments
  • Establishing monitoring and alerting tools in cloud environments to detect security incidents and vulnerabilities
  • Implementing access management and security controls in cloud environments to maintain compliance with security standards
  • Ensuring cloud environments and applications are in line with security and compliance standards
  • Providing guidance and support to other teams regarding cloud security best practices
  • Keeping up-to-date with emerging cloud security trends and technologies
  • Conducting regular security assessments and audits of the cloud infrastructure
  • Contributing to the ongoing enhancement of cloud security processes and procedures
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in cloud security engineering or related roles
  • Proficiency in Azure cloud security, with at least 6 months of hands-on experience in an infrastructure-as-code methodology
  • Experience in implementing security controls for cloud environments, including monitoring, alerting, and access management
  • Proficiency in using Git for version control and continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
  • Solid grasp of container orchestration technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, or Openshift
  • Experience in using monitoring and alerting tools in cloud environments
  • Comprehensive understanding of web infrastructure basics such as DNS, Load Balancing, SSL, TCP/IP, networking, security best practices, performance, high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
Nice to have
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases like Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cosmos DB, or HyperScale
