Senior Azure DevOps Engineer

We are on the lookout for a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to bolster our remote team. Your role will be central to fortifying and improving the security of our Azure cloud environments.

In this capacity, you will join forces with our development and infrastructure teams to ensure the integration of cloud security best practices throughout our Azure infrastructure. The role offers an exhilarating chance to interact with cutting-edge technologies while fortifying the security of our cloud environments.

Responsibilities
  • Formulation and execution of Azure cloud security solutions using an infrastructure-as-code approach
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams such as development and infrastructure to enforce security best practices across the Azure infrastructure
  • Creation and maintenance of secure, compliant cloud environments
  • Establishment of monitoring and alerting tools in cloud environments for detecting security incidents and vulnerabilities
  • Access management and security controls implementation in cloud environments to ensure compliance with security standards
  • Assurance of adherence to security and compliance standards by cloud environments and applications
  • Provision of guidance and support to other teams on cloud security best practices
  • Maintenance of awareness of emerging cloud security trends and technologies
  • Regular conduct of security assessments and audits on the cloud infrastructure
  • Contribution to the continuous improvement of cloud security processes and procedures
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in cloud security engineering or related roles
  • Competency in Azure cloud security, with at least 6 months of hands-on experience in an infrastructure-as-code approach
  • Familiarity with implementing security controls for cloud environments, including monitoring, alerting, and access management
  • Proficiency in using Git for version control and continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
  • Comprehensive understanding of container orchestration technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, or Openshift
  • Experience in setting up monitoring and alerting tools in cloud environments
  • In-depth knowledge of web infrastructure fundamentals such as DNS, Load Balancing, SSL, TCP/IP, networking, security best practices, performance, high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity
  • Proficiency in English, both in writing and speaking
Nice to have
  • Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cosmos DB, or HyperScale
