Senior Azure DevOps Engineer

Our remote team is on the hunt for a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer. The selected candidate will play a key role in fortifying the security of our Azure cloud environments.

In this role, you will team up with our development and infrastructure departments to uphold the application of cloud security best practices within our Azure infrastructure. This position offers a unique chance to work with innovative technologies while bolstering the security of our cloud environments.

Responsibilities
  • Drafting and executing Azure cloud security solutions through an infrastructure-as-code methodology
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams like development and infrastructure to uphold security best practices in Azure infrastructure
  • Establishing and maintaining secure, compliant cloud environments
  • Setting up detection tools for security incidents and vulnerabilities in cloud environments
  • Enforcing access management and security controls in cloud environments to maintain compliance with security norms
  • Ensuring adherence to security and compliance standards in cloud environments and applications
  • Providing counsel and assistance to other teams regarding cloud security best practices
  • Remaining updated on emerging cloud security trends and technologies
  • Carrying out regular security assessments and audits on cloud infrastructure
  • Contributing to the ongoing enhancement of cloud security processes and procedures
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience in cloud security engineering or similar roles
  • Proficiency in Azure cloud security, with a minimum of 6 months of hands-on experience in infrastructure-as-code methodology
  • Experience in implementing security controls for cloud environments, including monitoring, alerting, and access management
  • Proficiency in using Git for version control and continuous integration tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
  • Solid understanding of container orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Openshift
  • Experience in setting up detection tools in cloud environments
  • In-depth knowledge of web infrastructure fundamentals like DNS, Load Balancing, SSL, TCP/IP, networking, security best practices, performance, high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
Nice to have
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases like Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cosmos DB, or HyperScale
