Senior Azure DevOps Engineer

Join our dynamic remote team in the role of a Senior Cloud Security Engineer, contributing to the development and fortification of our Azure cloud environments.

In this position, collaborate closely with our development and infrastructure teams to ensure the meticulous implementation of cloud security best practices across our Azure infrastructure. Responsibilities
  • Developing and executing Azure cloud security solutions using an infrastructure-as-code methodology
  • Partnering with diverse teams, including development and infrastructure, to guarantee the integration of security best practices throughout the Azure infrastructure
  • Establishing and sustaining secure and compliant cloud environments
  • Configuring monitoring and alerting tools in cloud environments to identify security incidents and vulnerabilities
  • Enforcing access management and security controls in cloud environments to align with security standards
  • Ensuring that cloud environments and applications adhere to established security and compliance standards
  • Offering guidance and assistance to other teams regarding cloud security best practices
  • Remaining informed about emerging trends and technologies in cloud security
  • Conducting regular security assessments and audits on the cloud infrastructure
  • Contributing to the ongoing enhancement of cloud security processes and procedures
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in roles related to cloud security engineering or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Azure cloud security, with a minimum of 6 months of hands-on experience utilizing an infrastructure-as-code approach
  • Track record of implementing security controls for cloud environments, covering aspects like monitoring, alerting, and access management
  • Expertise in Git for version control and continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or comparable tools
  • Strong grasp of container orchestration technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, or Openshift
  • Previous experience in setting up monitoring and alerting tools in cloud environments
  • Sound knowledge of web infrastructure fundamentals, encompassing DNS, Load Balancing, SSL, TCP/IP, networking, security best practices, performance, high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken (B2+)
Nice to have
  • Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases like Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cosmos DB, or HyperScale
