Senior Azure DevOps Engineer
We invite you to join our remote team as a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer. This position involves building and fortifying our Azure cloud environments to ensure optimal security.
In this capacity, your collaboration with our development and infrastructure teams will be critical to implementing cloud security best practices across our Azure infrastructure. This is an engaging opportunity to interact with avant-garde technologies and significantly contribute to our cloud environment's security.
Responsibilities
- Utilizing an infrastructure-as-code approach to design and implement Azure cloud security solutions
- Cooperating with cross-functional teams such as development and infrastructure to apply security best practices across the Azure infrastructure
- Constructing and maintaining secure, compliant cloud environments
- Establishing monitoring and alerting tools in cloud environments for detecting security incidents and vulnerabilities
- Implementing access management and security controls in cloud environments to maintain compliance with security standards
- Ensuring the security and compliance standards of cloud environments and applications are met
- Offering guidance and support to other teams regarding cloud security best practices
- Staying current with emerging trends and technologies in cloud security
- Conducting regular security assessments and audits on the cloud infrastructure
- Contributing to the continuous enhancement of cloud security processes and procedures
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in cloud security engineering or similar roles
- Proficiency in Azure cloud security, with at least 6 months of hands-on experience in an infrastructure-as-code approach
- Previous experience in implementing security controls for cloud environments, including monitoring, alerting, and access management
- Proficiency in Git for version control and continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
- Solid grasp of container orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Openshift
- Experience in setting up monitoring and alerting tools in cloud environments
- Strong understanding of web infrastructure fundamentals like DNS, Load Balancing, SSL, TCP/IP, networking, security best practices, performance, high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
Nice to have
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cosmos DB, or HyperScale
