We are in search of a dedicated and experienced Senior AWS Engineer to strengthen our dynamic team. This vital role involves leading innovative projects and crafting scalable cloud solutions. By working with a team of seasoned professionals, you will significantly enhance our cloud infrastructure capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement advanced cloud solutions on AWS
- Direct the deployment of reliable and scalable cloud applications
- Improve and fine-tune current cloud systems and procedures for better performance and cost savings
- Work in partnership with various teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud services
- Proactively monitor cloud environments to preemptively tackle issues
- Develop and implement robust disaster recovery plans while enhancing security protocols
- Lead initiatives to improve system reliability and operational performance
- Mentor and support the professional development of junior team members
- Keep up-to-date with the latest and upcoming trends in cloud technology
- Thoroughly assess and optimize the performance of cloud resources
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in roles such as AWS Engineer or similar
- Mastery of infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation, with a solid grasp of principles for scalable cloud architecture
- Proficient in container technologies such as Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes
- Experience using Helm for managing Kubernetes applications
- Strong skills in automation and scripting with Python, Bash, or Ruby
- Experience managing containerized applications with Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS)
- Advanced knowledge in Linux administration and effective problem-solving
- Fluent in English with communication skills at a B2 level or higher
Nice to have
- Proficiency in configuration management tools for maintaining consistent server configurations
- Experience managing MySQL databases, focusing on performance optimization and data security
