Senior AWS Engineer

We are looking for a remote Senior AWS Engineer to join our team and help us deploy and develop Cloud Tools across all Cloud Service Providers (CSPs). As a Senior AWS Developer, you will play a vital role in deploying and developing our Cloud Tools. You will collaborate with the CSP teams, particularly the AWS team, to support their use and deployment of specified tooling. You will also translate business requirements into technical requirements and tooling configurations by sourcing data and undertaking appropriate analyses. Additionally, you will ensure that relevant reporting documentation is completed and complies with internal and external standards.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the deployment and ongoing development of Cloud Tools across all CSPs
  • Create processes and support plans for Cloud Tools to allow handover of tooling to SRE teams
  • Work in and alongside the CSP teams, particularly AWS team in order to support their use and deployment of specified tooling
  • Translates business requirements into technical requirements and tooling configuration by sourcing data and undertaking appropriate analyses
  • Ensure relevant reporting documentation is completed and complies with internal and external standards
  • Support in deploying tooling across development teams
  • Manage upgrades and coordinate internal and third parties where required
  • Schedule and coordinate capacity/product upgrades & releases, liaising with other areas of the business
  • Create accurate documentation and monitor system performance to effectively contribute to business and continual improvement activities
  • Make technical design and amendment decisions with limited supervision
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering and automation at scale preferably as a platform engineer or cloud developer
  • Expertise in AWS with a solid understanding of AWS IAM and Security
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code [Security] using Terraform
  • Experience in working in an Agile environment
  • Experience in development using Python, GoLang or NodeJS
  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English (B2+ level)
