We are seeking a remote Senior AWS DevOps Engineer with programming capabilities to take charge of managing and deploying AWS services, along with automation using tools like Terraform. This role requires expertise in containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes to streamline our application deployments. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver who can efficiently handle multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Your technical acumen and strategic insights will be vital in driving our cloud infrastructure forward, ensuring scalability, security, and optimal performance.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage AWS environments using best practices and automation tools
- Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform to ensure reproducible and consistent environments
- Leverage Docker for containerization and Kubernetes for orchestration to optimize application deployment and scaling
- Develop, configure, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery processes
- Monitor cloud resources and applications to ensure high availability and performance
- Enforce security measures and compliance across all cloud services and infrastructure
- Collaborate with software development teams to integrate DevOps methodologies into development cycles
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by researching and implementing new technologies and tools
- Document system configurations, processes, and environments to maintain operational continuity
Requirements
- At least 3 years of commercial experience in a DevOps role, specifically with AWS platforms
- Profound knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management
- Solid experience in containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes
- Expertise in constructing and managing CI/CD workflows for automated testing and deployment
- Ability to work autonomously and adapt swiftly to evolving project requirements
- Excellent communication skills with proficiency in English at a B2+ level or higher
Nice to have
- Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation tasks
- Experience with Datadog for monitoring, alerting, and operational metrics
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices and tools
- Familiarity with agile project management methodologies
