Senior AWS Developer

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior AWS Developer to join our remote team. You will be responsible for designing and developing front-end applications and microservices, REST APIs, and implementing a cloud-native microservices architecture using AWS. Your expertise in the creation of scalable, secure, and reliable systems will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our projects.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technology thought leadership and assist the team in making the right decisions
  • Work with other architects and the CTO organization to ensure technology governance and best practices are followed
  • Understand functional, non-functional requirements, and quality attributes and build solutions for them
  • Contribute to and improve architecture and design
  • Build, review, and ensure the quality of data models, API Contracts, Architecture, Framework, Code, etc.
  • Assist in effort estimation, planning, prioritization, and dependencies identification
  • Manage all technology artifacts
  • Create a cloud-native microservices architecture using AWS
  • Design and develop front-end applications and microservices, REST APIs
  • Implement and manage Kong, Okta JWT/Hooks/UD, Active Directory, and Microservices
  • Ensure the scalability, security, and reliability of systems
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar; Master's degree in Computer Science
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in AWS development and cloud engineering
  • Strong expertise in AWS development, including ECS, RDS/Dynamo, DNS, Cloud Formation, Lambda, IAM, Build AMI, and deploy using CI/CD pipeline
  • Experience with Kong, Okta JWT/Hooks/UD, Active Directory, and Microservices
  • Comprehensive understanding of SCIM and cloud data stores like S3, Dynamo DB, and/or Amazon RDS
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, and JS
  • Familiarity with networking components such as DMZ, Firewalls, and Load Balancers
  • Strong knowledge of AWS development/cloud/engineering standard methodologies
  • Effective communication and presentation skills with experience in client-facing roles
  • Fluent English language skills with an Upper-Intermediate level
Nice to have
  • Experience with OAuth, OIDC, SAML, and JWT
  • Experience with data modeling
  • Knowledge of the API economy with a business acumen
  • Experience with Agile methodology
