Senior Automation Tester (JavaScript)

Hybrid in Mexico

We are looking for a detail-focused Senior Automation Tester with expertise in JavaScript to join our QA team.

You will collaborate closely with the QA Lead, focusing on functional testing using both manual and automated methods to support the success of our migration project.

Responsibilities
  • Execute the test strategy while adhering to the test plan
  • Collaborate with the QA team to achieve project goals
  • Coordinate functional testing efforts and perform detailed test case execution
  • Lead efforts to automate key test cases
  • Analyze test outputs and provide clear, actionable insights
  • Plan, monitor, and update testing progress and key milestones
Requirements
  • Professional experience as a Test Automation Engineer, ideally 3+ years
  • Strong coding skills in JavaScript with knowledge of TypeScript
  • Competency in working with automation frameworks such as Playwright or Webdriver.IO
  • Solid understanding of software testing principles, test case design, regression testing, and test automation practices
  • Familiarity with functional, integration, and performance testing strategies
  • Proficiency with Git, HTML, CSS, DOM, RESTful APIs, and managing JSON responses
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and flexibility to use tools like JIRA, Confluence, or similar systems effectively
  • Clear, professional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Capacity to collaborate effectively with team members and adapt to feedback
  • Problem-solving mindset with enthusiasm for learning and growth
  • English level B2+ or higher
Nice to have
  • Background in applying TypeScript within testing frameworks
  • Expertise in Mocha/Chai, Cucumber, or similar tools
  • Familiarity with Adobe Experience Manager or Akamai integration testing
  • Proficiency in using Bitbucket, Jenkins, or managing CI/CD pipelines
