Senior Automation Tester in Java

Automated Testing in Java, REST Assured, Selenium, Web Service / API Testing, Java, Wealth Management

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Automation Tester in Java to join our forward-thinking team.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in automation best practices, design principles, and automation framework components. Proficient in UI (Selenium) and API (Rest Assured) automation, this role demands a strong background in build management, CI, and source code management tools.

Responsibilities
  • Write functional, integration, and acceptance test cases
  • Automate test cases for regression testing, functional testing, and smoke testing
  • Plan and execute automation tasks ensuring testing standards are adhered to within the team
  • Integrate test cycles with the DevOps pipeline
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues creatively and efficiently
  • Automate testing for backend services (REST APIs)
  • Document and report defects
  • Manage test data and test environments
  • Handle test script version management
  • Explore mainframe automation if applicable
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience in Quality Assurance including 3 years in test automation development
  • Proficiency in REST & SOAP API testing automation using Rest Assured
  • Proven track record of maintaining automation scripts
  • Background in agile methodology
  • Skills in functional, integration, and regression testing
  • Knowledge of manual testing
  • Competency in integrating the test suite with CI/CD pipeline
  • Experience in writing unit tests
  • Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, REST, Selenium, and Webservices
Nice to have
  • Understanding of Continuous Integration and Cucumber tools
  • Flexibility to use Java in additional automation tasks
  • Capability to handle regression testing in complex environments
  • Familiarity with Wealth Management
