Senior Automation Tester in Java

We are seeking a skilled Senior Automation Tester with a strong background in Java to join our team, focused on modernizing the Customer Catalog backend services.

This role plays a crucial part in migrating APIs and data from legacy systems to a cloud-native architecture by ensuring the delivery of high-quality, thoroughly tested systems and fostering Agile processes.

Responsibilities
  • Lead test planning and execution to validate backend APIs and data migration functionality
  • Identify and document defects while ensuring resolution for consistent and high-quality deliverables
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies as a Scrum Master, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
  • Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and business analysts to align on requirements and priorities
  • Ensure continuous integration and delivery best practices through implementing automated and manual testing strategies
  • Enhance testing strategies to improve stability and mitigate risks throughout modernization efforts
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in QA/testing of backend services and APIs, including defect management and resolution
  • Proficiency in Scrum Master responsibilities with a proven ability to manage Agile teams
  • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks, Java, and tools such as Postman
  • Competency in working collaboratively to align multiple teams toward shared goals
  • Understanding of backend systems with exposure to frameworks like Spring Boot
  • Background as a QA expert with strong technical expertise in Java-based backend testing
  • Capability to excel as an Agile leader, effectively driving team collaboration and delivering results
Nice to have
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly AWS
  • Background in e-commerce systems or personalization backend systems
  • Experience in coordinating distributed teams, including nearshore and offshore collaboration
