Senior Automation Tester in Java

Automated Testing in Java, QE/Testing, REST Assured, Selenium, Cucumber, Java, Jira, Performance Testing, SQL, qTest

We are currently in search of a skilled Senior Automation Tester with significant Java experience to enhance our committed team.

This essential role is a cornerstone for a top-tier Wealth Management firm transitioning from traditional manual testing methods to state-of-the-art automated systems within their Branch Investment Management Portfolio. The successful applicant will play a key role in formulating and implementing a detailed automation strategy and adapting to the deployment of a new Automation Framework.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, refine, and maintain functional, integration, and acceptance test cases
  • Engineer test scenarios for regression, functional, and smoke testing
  • Lead automation initiatives and ensure high testing standards are consistently met within the team
  • Seamlessly integrate testing processes into the DevOps pipeline to boost operational efficiency
  • Utilize innovative problem-solving skills to identify and fix system issues
  • Implement automated testing for both backend services (REST APIs) and frontend interfaces
  • Diligently track and document defects, providing precise updates
  • Manage test data and ensure the accuracy of testing environments
  • Continuously update and manage test script versions
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field; a Master’s degree is highly preferred
  • Minimum of 6 years in Quality Assurance, including at least 4 years focused on test automation development or a blend of development and testing roles
  • Extensive experience in designing and managing automation scripts
  • Proficiency in agile methodologies
  • Outstanding analytical and organizational skills
  • Expertise in functional, integration, and regression testing
  • Solid knowledge of manual testing practices
  • Ability to integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills
  • English proficiency at a B2 level or higher
  • Experience in roles that involve client interaction
  • Familiarity with financial services and/or wealth management is highly advantageous
Nice to have
  • Mastery of tools such as Cucumber, Java, and Jira
  • Proficiency in Performance Testing and SQL
  • Experience with qTest
