Senior Automation Tester in Java
We are looking for an experienced Senior Automation Tester with advanced expertise in Java to join our innovative team. The candidate will play a pivotal role in leading our automation efforts, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring excellence in software quality and performance.
Responsibilities
- Manage the refactoring and optimization of approximately 4000 existing test automation scripts
- Architect and develop robust automation test frameworks using Java
- Collaborate with development, QA teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to set strategic test priorities
- Act as a subject matter expert in configuring and managing complex testing environments using Jenkins and Bitbucket
- Design and oversee the implementation of Selenium-based tests for comprehensive coverage
- Utilize Cucumber for advanced behavior-driven development to refine testing processes and outputs
- Analyze complex test results, synthesize findings, and provide actionable insights to the development team
- Oversee the tracking and documentation of bugs and other test outcomes
- Ensure adherence to industry best practices and maintain top-tier quality standards across all tests
- Lead code reviews and spearhead continuous improvement initiatives
- Mentor junior testers in the team and foster a culture of excellence and continuous learning
- Stay ahead of emerging testing tools, strategies, and industry trends to keep our workflows and skills cutting-edge
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in test automation
- Deep proficiency in Java and mastery of automation frameworks such as Selenium
- Advanced understanding of BDD tools like Cucumber and their application in complex environments
- Extensive experience in CI/CD tools, including Jenkins and Bitbucket
- Ability to work both independently and as part of diverse teams
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Proven ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with multiple stakeholders
- B2 level of English or higher, with an emphasis on technical communication skills
