Senior Automation Tester in Java

Automated Testing in Java, REST Assured, Selenium, Web Service / API Testing, Java, Wealth Management

We are seeking a Senior Automation Tester with a strong background in Java, specifically in UI and API Automation.

In this role, you will leverage your expertise in automation best practices to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated test scripts, integrating them into our CI/CD pipeline, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance our testing processes. Your proficiency in both functional and API testing will be essential as you contribute to our Wealth Management projects.

Responsibilities

Write functional, integration and acceptance test cases
Automate the test cases for regression testing, functional testing, smoke testing
Plan and execute automation tasks, ensuring testing standards are followed within the team
Integrate test cycles with DevOps pipeline
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues creatively and efficiently
Automate testing for back end services including REST APIs
Document and report defects
Manage test data and test environment
Oversee test script version management
Engage in mainframe automation activities

Requirements

5+ years of work experience in Quality Assurance, with at least 3+ years in test automation development or a combination of development and testing experience
Experience in REST and SOAP API testing automation using REST Assured
Proficiency in creating and maintaining automation scripts to meet acceptance criteria
Familiarity with agile methodology
Strong organizational, troubleshooting and analytical skills
Expertise in functional, integration, and regression testing
Experience in writing unit tests for robustness, including edge cases and usability
Good level knowledge of manual testing
Experience in integrating the test suite with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipeline

Nice to have

Familiarity with Continuous Integration tools
Experience with Cucumber
Background in regression testing
Mainframe automation experience would be a huge plus
