We are seeking an experienced Senior Accessibility Tester to join our remote team.
As a Senior Accessibility Tester, you will play a critical role in ensuring our digital products are of the highest quality and accessible to all users. Your expertise in A11y standards, WCAG, and Section 508 requirements will be instrumental in performing comprehensive accessibility testing and audits for both desktop and mobile applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, business analysts, and developers, to verify WCAG-compliant designs and functional requirements.
Responsibilities
- Perform Accessibility testing and audit for both Desktop and Mobile apps
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create accessible functionality and alternative accessible solutions
- Lead, coordinate, and supervise the work of testers during audits or product analysis
- Estimate efforts required for Accessibility Testing, Audit, and Analytics per project
- Present proposals and results to clients
- Conduct functional testing of web applications on various platforms and devices
- Collaborate with designers, business analysts, and developers
- Document and verify WCAG-compliant design and functional requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Accessibility testing, specification, consulting, and requirements development
- Strong knowledge of HTML/CSS, WAI-ARIA, WCAG (2.0, 2.1+), and Section 508 requirements
- Experience in integrating Accessibility into CI/CD processes
- Ability to create and provide accessibility specifications, test cases, checklists, and test scenarios
- Proficiency in performing Accessibility testing and audit for both Desktop and Mobile apps
- Experience in estimating efforts required for Accessibility Testing, Audit, and Analytics per project
- Familiarity with bug tracking systems, test tracking systems, and developer tools
- Expertise in working with assistive technologies such as NVDA, JAWS, TalkBack, and Voiceover
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills
- Fluency in English at B2 level or higher
Nice to have
- WAS, CPACC, Section 508 certifications or Accessibility courses
- Proficiency in JavaScript
- Experience working in Scrum on big projects with several distributed teams
