The Senior Accessibility Tester plays a crucial role in maintaining the quality of our product portfolio. This involves managing the queue of testing requests, conducting accessibility tests on designated products, and reporting any defects. Alongside this, you'll mentor other testers, assist in the development of test plans and scripts, generate documentation, and make recommendations based on the patterns and insights gleaned from product testing.
A deep understanding of accessibility and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), a robust knowledge of assistive technology, automated testing tools, and proven experience in accessibility testing are necessary for success in this role.

- Play a key role in the full-cycle quality assurance of a broad product portfolio, including managing and completing testing requests
- Work closely with stakeholders in Design, Product Management, and Product Engineering to facilitate testing throughout the product development lifecycle
- Coordinate with the Testing Lead to ensure all testing requests are completed accurately and on time
- Act as an authority in accessibility testing, making data-driven recommendations and driving testing decisions
- Mentor other accessibility testers
- Assist in creating test plans, scripts, and other accessibility testing documentation
- Work with the Accessibility Test Lead in formulating and implementing accessibility training for the testing team
- Conduct quality audits and suggest ways to reduce quality errors
- Display proficiency in complex products, with the ability to work independently with minimal direction
- Foster a positive, collaborative team environment that promotes innovation and respectful discussion
- Ensure adherence to the accessibility policy and guidelines
- Stay updated with emerging accessibility standards and industry trends
- Continually develop skills and knowledge in accessibility testing
- BA/BS in information science, information design, computer science, related field, or equivalent industry experience
- 3+ years of testing experience in software development, web development or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in an accessibility-related field
- Familiarity with WCAG 2.1 (AA) guidelines
- Expertise in assistive technologies and accessibility-related software including JAWS® and NVDA, and automated testing tools
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar for logging and tracking bugs
- Proven success in coordinating testing efforts across multidisciplinary teams
- Proven success in creating test plans and scripts
- Ability to influence and shape processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience dealing with high-level stakeholders
- Experience with Figma for design collaboration and prototyping
- Understanding of UX design principles
