We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Security Support Engineer to join our team, supporting our customers in leveraging cutting-edge cloud technologies, ensuring seamless integration, and providing advanced technical assistance. This role focuses on managing customer success across security-related services while collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and solutions.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to customers using Cloud Platform products, solutions, and APIs, including Google Identity and Access Management and related services
- Provide technical assistance and support as part of a global 24x5 support organization
- Work closely with engineers and product managers to improve the product and make our customers successful
- Handle change requests and incident tickets for the remaining infrastructure teams - Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management
- Provide technical and developer support to customers using Cloud Platform products, solutions, and APIs
- Follow notification and escalation procedures
- Follow standards for communication with businesses involving operational issues
Requirements
- At least 2 years’ experience as a Systems Engineer or System Administrator
- Strong knowledge of Linux/UNIX and Windows Server
- Familiarity with cyber/IT security
- Skills in multitasking and multiprocessing
- Capability to set up monitoring, conduct performance audits, and optimize performance
- Strong understanding of user administration (identity federations, user access management)
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and familiarity with common Linux troubleshooting tools (vmstat, iostat, lsof, strace)
- Familiarity with cloud computing
- Strong business ownership and customer focus
Nice to have
- Experience in VMs (Google Compute Engine, VMware, Amazon EC2, etc.)
- Familiarity with security best practices and frameworks
- Coding ability in one or more languages (Java, Python, C++, etc.)
- Ability to follow and understand a defined ITIL/ITSM process, train team members, and contribute to process improvement
