Python Developer

We are seeking a proactive, inquisitive Python Developer who has a passion for continuous learning to join our Data Service team.

We anticipate that this individual will confidently take full ownership of their responsibilities, field relevant questions when necessary, and suggest innovative ideas or methodologies.

Responsibilities
  • Implement user stories in accordance with client requirements, meeting deadlines and adhering to best practices
  • Address bugs and maintain services while being on-call during working hours, rotating every 1-2 weeks
  • Engage in planning/grooming/refinement meetings and code review sessions
Requirements
  • Proficiency in core Python skills (decorators, slicing, list comprehension and other language features) with the ability to craft readable and maintainable code
  • Hands-on expertise with AWS services such as Lambda, Step Functions, and IAM (cross-account access)
  • Basic SQL skills (composing simple queries, aggregate operations, JOINs)
  • Thorough understanding of REST API and its standards
  • Capability to work in a dynamic environment while maintaining performance
  • Capability to troubleshoot and investigate issues independently
Nice to have
  • Background or experience in AI/ML including data preparation and labeling for ML models
  • Experience with AWS services like API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudFormation, S3, CodeBuilder/CodePipeline
  • Familiarity with CI/CD methodologies and IaC approach
